On 53xx phones, Long Key Press is a shortcut to the traditional Superkey menu. Instead of pressing Superkey followed by a programmable key to launch the menu, users are only required to hold down the programmable key until a timer expires (1 to 5 seconds).
For 69xx phones, Long Key Press operates two ways:
on programmable keys it launches a programming application with a reduced selection (compared to Superkey) of features
Phone Lock
Call Forward Always
Do Not Disturb
Account Code Non-Verified
Account Code Verified
on the Settings (
) key, it launches the traditional
Superkey menu but with reduced set of features. See Superkey
for a list of these features.
NOTE: Long Key Press also works on the 53xx phone Settings (blue) key.
Long Key Press is NOT supported on line keys nor on PKMs.
Key Inquiry is no longer supported except on DSS/BLF keys programmed to provide Call Screening.
